Entry requirement of Nigerian citizen to China

There is no official news about it. The requirements for Nigerian to enter China may be stricter than that of other countries, but it is not that worse.

For Nigerian citizens to apply for a F type to enter China, they need to prepare an application form, a recent taken photo, their passport, an invitation letter from the conference, an invitation letter of Duly Authorized Entity, a supporting letter from the applicant's company, bank statement with at least 4 million nairas for first-time applicant and other documents the embassy requires. After they sumbit the documents, they still need to go through an interview. After they pass the interview, they may wait for their F type.

This is an Academic Research Conference scheduled in China.Again I want to make sure about the which documents are exactly want to Nigerian citizen to apply visa to China.Since this is an academic conference is it compulsory to show above mentioned bank statements?
How about the process of Nigerian citizen who are living in other countries?

The bank statment is compulsory for the F type.

Would you mind tell me which country you are in to plan to make the application? The requirements are slight different for applying in a foreign country. In general, besides, the basic documents, a resident permit in that foreign country is required.
