how can i get train ticket?

Question

I am arriving in beijing at 2pm in the afternoon of 28th December and going to take train to Guilin at 6pm. Can I go straight to the train station and buy ticket or should I buy it in advance? What is the best way to get the tickets? Is is too late go to and get the tickets then?

You can buy on spot when you arrive the station, but it is advisable to keep an eye on the ticket availbility. If you find the ticket become limited, you'd better book online in advance(like using this website).
