Your husband can only use his passport to enter HK if he stay there for less than 14 days. For you, you need to have a Two-way Permit with a register to enter HK and youyou need to go to the local nearby consulate or embassy for applying.

Thank you for the reply. Yes, we will be there for just 7 days. So, should I go to the Chinese embassy in the US or is there a special consulate/embassy for HK matters in the US ?

The last time I visited Macau, I was in China and I know the procedure there. Its just I don't want to go back to China just for the permit and then fly to HK. If this can be done in the US, that will be great. Thanks again for your help.

Best,

Olivia

You just need to go to the Chinese embassy/consulate for HK matters. You do not need to go back to China and the Chinese embassy/consulate will help you to get things done easily.
