Requirements for first time to get a chinese visa

My friend is planning to travel with me in China this month and his first time to apply for a chinese permit. He have a business here in philiippines, what requirements does he need in order to get it. Thanks

For applying a Tourist L, he needs to provide the valid passport, an application form, a recent taken photo, the hotel bookings, round trip flight tickets, bank statement, BIR-stamped income tax return form, Professional ID or documents to prove his work.
