About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Visa-free Transit from Melbourne to Guangzhou and then to Nepal

If I am flying from Melbourne to Guangzhou and then onward to Nepal, I should be able to enjoy the free Transit right? However, if I fly from Nepal to Guangzhou and then to LA, would I be able to enjoy the free Transit for the second time?
