About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

72 Free Transit in Shanghai to grab my luggage

I'm a Belgian resident. I have been studying in Shanghai since September and I'm planning to go on a trip to Bangkok (Thailand) just before I leave China.

I already booked my flight to come back to Belgium and, as it's non refundable, I would like to use it. I was thinking about going to Bangkok one week before my flight back to Belgium, then come back to Shanghai one day before I leave for Belgium, going to my apartment (in Shanghai) to grab my luggage and then leave. Is that legally possible?

I don't have any resident permit and I have a single-entry Chinese Visa.

It is legal to do so. On your back way from Thailand to Shanghai and then back to Belgium, you are able to enjoy the 72-hour free transit.
