Going to hong kong with egyptian passport

Now i already booked the flights going/return and paid the hotel booking and planning to have with me 2000 USdollars in cash and my credit card . Can the entry visa be refused when i reach the airport in hongkong because the last thing i want is after spending all this money not be able to enter the city
