About:China Private Visit Visa

I would like to apply for an S visa in HK, my spouse is Hongkonese working in China. Is it possible?

Hello,
I´m European citizen and I will be marrying a hong kong citizen this month. He works in mainland China and we would like to get myself an S to be able to move into China with him. Is it possible to do it in HK after the wedding or do I need to go back to my home country? I would prefer to avoid the cost of that, of course. Besides, if I enter China with an L, can I apply for S once in China or I need to go out from the country for that?
Finally, which papers I would need to present for the application, exactly?
Thank you!

Nuria, I am afraid that you may not change the L type for a S type when you are in China. According to other people, you need to apply for the S type out of China. According to the announcement from the related authorities, those who apply in HK must provide their HK resident status. Although you are married with a HK guy, I think that you may not get the HK resident status, right? However, you may try to contact some agencies in HK. They might be able to help apply for the S type in HK. You just need to pay them service charge. It isn't cheap, according to what I know.
