About:Hong Kong Octopus Card

Can i buy a Octopus card at the Hong Kong airport

and not use the Express train but take the A12 to HK island. the A12 bus stop directly in front of my hotel.

Yes, you can buy a Octopus Card at the airport. It's ok for you to take airport shuttle bus A12 to your hotel directly. But this route is not free.
