I am an Austrian Citizen touring Asia. Can I get a 60 day Chinese permit in Bangkok?

I bought flight tickets from BKK to KMG and from HKG to VIE (Austria). I have youth hostel reservation for the first week of my roundtrip. I can also provide a bank statement. I have travelled to China in the past 4 years with a permit issued in Austria.
