About:China Train

Is it possible to go to Sapa Vietname by rail from Guangzhou Baiyun Airport?

My group of 4 would like to visit China and I found a good priced flight flying into Guangzhou Baiyun Airport. Our destination is Vietnam.
Can we catch a train from the airport to Sapa? Or is there another alternative.

Up to now it seems that the rail to Vietnam from China would departs from Nanning and stop at Hanoi. You need to go to Nanning first and also after you arrive at Hanoi, you still need to transfer to Sapa.
