Single or Multiple Entry for visiting Shanghai & Beijing

Hi there,

My friend and I are traveling to Shanghai & Beijing for 11-12 days (I'm staying a day longer). It seems a single entry one would get it done (since we're not leaving or going to HK or anything like that), but is there any risk or problem with requesting a multiple entry type? For example, would they need proof or reason to think we'd actually need multiple entry?

If you are qualified for the single type, but you request a multiple type, the officer usually will ask for a reason and ask to prepare necessary documents to prove that you need a multiple entry.
