About:China Visa

My son has a valid Chinese visa that expires Jan 25

but his passport is only valid for 5 months from our planned date of arrival in Shanghai in December. Can he still enter China? I see on some other forums that "you should be able to enter," but I was hoping to find some more official information.

According to my experience, there is no such kind of official information online. The real situation depends on your entering and exiting time. If she exits before her passport expires, she should be able to enter, otherwise, problems may exist.

Personally speaking, you are still suggested to consult the immigration in Shanghai airport for confirming. Their phone number is 0086-21-51105100.

Seems OK. You need 6 months on passport to apply for a visa, not to enter China.
