The immigration department will let you go home, so please do not worry. Due to the overstay, you need to pay the fine and then leave China. The fine for each day is 500RMB.

Personally speaking, you are suggested to go to the local Exit-Entry Adminstration Bureau as soon as possible first to stop the overstay and pay the fine. Then you can get a exit permit to prepare to leave China.
