Is HKD (HOng Kong Dollars) widely acceptable in Macau ?

HI, I'm planning to visit Macao and also Hong Kong next month. Wondering :

1) should I change my currencies into MOP and HKD, or I can just change HKD only, and use HKD in Macao for all my purchases & shopping ?

2) is the exchange rate HKD = MOP ?
