Chinese New Year in Taipei 2015

Hello

I will be in Taipei on 12/02/2015 - 21/02/2015. (One Week) 7 Days before Chinese New Year 2015 and 3 Days of Chinese New Year there.

May I check? :

1. Are most attractions open one week before CNY and on CNY?
2. Are most night markets and shopping centre open one week before CNY and on CNY?
3. Where can I go on CNY EVE for countdown?
4. Where can I go on CNY 1st to 3rd day?
5. Will it rain during these period?
6. Will Jiu Fen, Shi Fen, Pin Xi, Kee Lung, Beitou be open one week before CNY and on CNY?
7. What other places and activities to recommend on CNY 1st to 3rd day?
8. What places to recommend for Hot Spring?
9. Will Tamsui Fisherman's Wharf be open one week before CNY and on CNY?

1. Yes, attractions open during that time period.
2. It would be the busy days for night markets and shopping centre, of course they won’t close.
3. You can countdown at Taipei 101.
4. During those days, you can go to The Lin’s Family Mansion and Garden, Palace Museum, and hang around those university campuses. In night times, you can go to the night markets.
5. The city rains much all year round. So it’s hard to say what the weather would be in CNY. It depends.
6. Yes, they will.
7. As I know, there would be temple fair in the Palace Museum, it’s a good place for you to go.
8. The hot spring in Beitou is the most famous in Taiwan.
9. Except Mondays, the wharf opens all year round.
