lighting at stadiumwater cube in beijing?

I heard that the stadium and water cube will have a beautiful light every night.I don't wanna buy the ticket for visiting inside the stadium, just wanna take some photos at the park outside.I have my free time only after 8:00 PM.Could anyone tell me whether the light is opened all night?If not. please advise me what time is the light close?

I just heard that the show of National Stadium is on between 17:00 and 19:00, but not so sure. If so, you may miss the show. However, for the Water Cube, the light shows from 8:00pm to 9:30pm and you can enjoy it.
