About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Flying from Los Angeles (LAX) to Shanghai (PVG) and back to LAX for 72 hours. do I need a L visa?

I am returning back to LAX and not traveling to a third country. Can I still enter under the 72 hour free transit?

Since it is a round trip, you are unable to enjoy the 72-hour free transit. As a result, you need to apply for a single entry Tourist L for your visiting.
