family holiday stay in southern taiwan in dec 2014

Hi all friends: I planning to bring my wife and 3 years old kid to visit the place from 12 Dec 2014 to 16 Dec 2014. Likley going to southern part of TW as my family not used to too cold weather.The issue is finding food for my 3 year old boy. Is there anyone that can recommend a good Ming Su or 民宿 to stay? and can help cook baby food like simple steam minced meat, fish and veg for kids? This is my first time there and hope someone can share good warm southern area location to stay in Dec 2014. Thanks for the help.
