I am fiji passport holder wishing to travel to China for 14 days . Do I need a visa before departure

You need to apply one in advance before your departure.

yes you need to apply for tourist visa before you leave, wherever your coming from. you can't get china visas on arrival. but if you are going from hong kong..there are few ports gates you can enter china from and your still need a visa before entering china. on any pacific island passports.
