Will my daughters passport be ok while transiting in china?

We are travelling from london to melbourne on the 3rd December returning on the 15th January. On both journeys we are transiting in china for around 2 hours each time. The problem I have is that my 10 year old daughters passport expires on the 7 June leaving only 4 and a half months on it when we return. I have the visas for australia and they are fine as long as the passport is valid for the duration of the stay in australia but my only concern is at china on our return. I have phoned numerous places and no one can give me a straight answer. Can anyone here help me please?

Since you only two hours as transfering, the passports can be used for your transfering. Please do not worry.

Based on my experience, it is not need to pass the immigration where the passport is checked if you just have two hours at the airport.
