About:China Visa Exemption

Will I be able to obtain a visa on arrival at Haikou?

Hi, I'm an Australian travelling to Hainan Island from Hong Kong with a travel partner.

Yes, you can apply for VOA when you arrive in Haikou. However, you'd better contact your airline in advance and ask if they are aware of this policy. I read a piece of news report that an Australia was rejected to board the plane because the airline didn't know of this policy.
