About:China Visa Entries / Validity / Duration of Stay

Hello, I have a double entry student visa (X2) valid for 180 days.

It is written on it that I have to leave the country after 90 days and then come back again. Is this compulsory?

Yes, it is compulsory. If you stay for over 90 days for your first entry, it is regarded as overstay. You can go to HK for a short trip and then back.
