China Visa's for Australians living in the USA

I live and work in the USA but am an Australian on a work Z (have been here 4yrs).

Q. Other than returning to apply from Australia, is there anyway I can get more than a double-entry type for China?

(I have all the paperwork and invitations/employee sponsor stuff etc but I cannot get the 1yr type from the USA as I am not a USA citizen.)

If you do not want to go back to Australia, probably, you can try to find a HK tour company to consult. Based on my experience, many travelers choose to apply in HK, so you can have a try. You need to consult well before going to HK.
