72hours how it works for different airport

As I understand if i land at the Beijing airport the time will count from the arrival time to the departure time and If I land at Guangzhou or any other qualifying airpot the 72 hours starts from 00:00 the day following the entry date. I like to confirm if any one can verify that if i land at other than Beijing for instant after mid night let say 1240am than the time will count from next day 00:00 at the clock.

You are right. It also starts from the next day 00:00 for other airports.

Hi Saje, I was wondering the same thing because I have a similar situation. We're landing in Shanghai and I called the Shanghai Immigration they clarified it for me. They start at midnight the following day. The consulate general in Toronto told me otherwise so I still wanted to make sure. If you want actual confirmation and peace of mind, call whatever city you're landing in. They're quite helpful and very quick on the phone (no machines, no buttons to press) and they spoke English.
