About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Can I visit Singapore & Kunming which are both stops on my outbound journey?

My flight departs from London. It stops in Shanghai for 22 hours and in Kunming for 22 hours. I want to obviously get out of the airport on both occassions before onward flight to Burma. Will I be able to visit both cities?

You need to apply for a Transit G in advance to visit the both cities. You are not qualified for either the transit policy.

Your trip is from UK - Shanghai - Kunming - Burma, right?
If so, it is not allowed to use the 72hour free transit. This policy only applies to those who making transfering in one city in China. For instance, if you just transfer in either Shanghai or Kunming for 22 hours, you are able to enjoy the 72-hour free transit.

You need to apply for a Transit G in around one month in advance.
