Transit visa requirement confusion

Hi, I am Arpit from India. I will be travelling to New Zealand by southern china airlines from New Delhi, India on 25th of November, 2014. The flight has a stopover in Guangzhou, China - New Baiyun (CAN) airport. The waiting time between the flights is less than 24 hrs. Would I be needing a transit G?
Thanks in Advance

If so, no Transit G is required. If you want to leave the airport, you can use your passport and onward ticket with confirmed seat to apply a stay permit to leave.
