one day trip for camel riding in kubuqi desert

1. Can I take private car for 6 people from Hohhot to Kubuqi desert for camel riding in one day trip? How much for all cost for car and camel? 2. Are there many tourists to desert in the end of December?3. Please recommend ski resorts near Hhot and how to go.Thanks

The desert is around 155mi from the city and one day for a round trip shall be a little tight, because you also wanna have camel riding. The van rental fare for round trip would be CNY800 or more. In end of Dec. it will be very cold there, so it is not a good choice to travel in the desert. Actually, Aug. to Sep. is the best timing to go. Drive around 20min from the city and you can reach the Taiwei Ski Resort. It is a good place to go. And it is best to rent a car or van to reach.
