Question

My partner is studying there so accommodation is free, how much do you recommend we budget for food and bus rides a day? We will just sight see around the city but might consider some weekends travelling out of town.

Kate, local food isn't expensive. I think CNY50 to 60 is ok per day if you cook on your own. If you prefer to eat better, I think CNY 100 is needed per day.
