how far are the rainbow mountains from zhangye train station?

Hi I'm arriving at ZY Station at 3.20pm on 28th January but am leaving at 00.00 (midnight) that night to catch the train to Dunhuang. Is there enough time to go and see the mountains, how far away are they? What is the avergae price to hire a taxi driver?

Oh, you must refer to the Danxia Landscape, right? Well, it is around 25mi away, so I suggest you rent a car or take a taxi at the cost of around CNY120 to view that (for the round trip, they may charge CNY200-300). Then your time would be enough.Apart from the beautiful scenery, you are recommended to enjoy the sunset, which may happen around 18:00 in Jan. Good luck.
