work in china -- help please

I know this is a forum about getting a Visa for China -- I have a tourist L that will expire in January 2015 and I do not have a problem getting another one.  However I have a situation I need some help with. My wife is a Chinese National and she lives in China, I live in the United States. I am an American by birth.  We were married in China of 2014. I want to be with her and the U.S government is taking forever to get her coming application approved.  I miss my wife and have not seen her in person since I left in January -- I have applied for Jobs in China, but I think companies do not take me seriously.  I have not completed my 4 year degree, but I am back in college to finish this up and I am well rounded in many fields. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Since you have already got married in China, you can try to apply for a Q1 to live in China for a long time. If you want to work in China, you are suggested to use your current Toursit L to stay in China for several months first. During these months, you can try your best to find a job. After you get the job and get the necessary documents, you can fly back to USA to apply for a Work Z for China. Then you can use the Z to enter China and change it to a resident permit to stay with your wife as long as possible. This is my suggestion for you and you can consider other opinions.
