is there a bus ride going from Shangrila to Deqin? how long is the travel?

Hi - i would like to know whether there is a bus going to Deqin from Shangrila? how long is the travel? is there a place to stay in Deqin if we stay there for a couple of days?

Yes, there are buses run from Shangrila to Deqin. You can take it from Shangrila Bus Station. The bus fare is CNY67, and it takes about 6hrs. BTW, there are only five buses run to Deqin everyday, respectively in 8:20, 9:20, 10:30, 12:30, 14:30.

If you are really afraid of cold, you should avoid traveling in Deqin in Dec. It will be very cold and the lowest temp may fall to 18F.
