Z and R VISAs for Senior Executives in Petrcochemical/Chemicals

I am 61 year old retired from one chemical company and working for another petrcohemical company who has oferred me an expat assignmnet in China. I have read the new regulations and looks like the age restrictions on obtaining a Z hasn't changed ie it remains 62 to 65 for males but the conflicting data says its difficlut after age 60? Can someone confirm this? Also what is the new "R" type for senior excutive professionals and are there restrictions on this as well.

Thanks......

According to the rules, the work permit is only issued to those age below 60 years old. If the applicants are senior executives or are teachers or so, the age limitation is 65 years old. The real situation depends on the company hires you, because the work permit is applied by the company hires you for you.

The R type requires the applicant should submit relevant certification in accordance with relevent regualtions, and meet the relevant requirements of the competent authorities of the Chinese government on high-level talents and individualnel with special skills urgently needed by China. It is very hard to get and few people can get it based on my experience.
