How to get vistors visa fast for a week - Australian Permanent resident on a Sri Lankan passport

Hi There,

I am a Australian Permanent resident residing and have been residing in Australia for the past 6 plus years on a Sri Lankan passport. I am doing some traveling with my partner who is a British passport holder.

I flew to Sri Lanka yesterday from Australia and he arrived in Hong kong yesterday from Australia to train Wing Chung and i want to join him for a week to do some shopping until we both fly back to sri lanka on the 19th Nov for a joint holiday before we both take off traveling to Europe.

Do i need apply one for less than 7 days and if i do whats the quickest way to apply from Sri Lanka

Nads, you need to apply one from Chinese embassy in Sri Lanka. If possible, you can ask for the rush service. It allows you to get it in the afternoon if you submit it before 12:00. The total cost should be around 7000 Sri Lanka Rupees. However, you should ask permission from the embassy to use the rush service. If the embassy can't deal with your application, you need to apply from HK Immigration Department. It takes around four weeks.
