About:Best Time to Visit Huangshan Mountain

Huangshan Mountain on March 2015

I am planning to go to the mountain on March 2015. Is is cold and wil it snow? If snow, will it be slippery and dangerous to track? Please advise. What is the nearer Airport to the Mountain? Should we stay 1 or 2 nights at the mountain? And yes, which hotel?

Oh, if you go there in early March, it may be snowing. The temperature is about 23-40F. But if you go there in the late March, it wouldn’t snowing there, and the temperature would be a little higher, 37-58F.
If snowing, it would be slippery, but you can buy skidproof shoe covers at the foot of the mountain.

The nearest airport is Huangshan airport. When you arrive there, you can take a taxi to Tunxi Bus Station. There you can take a direct bus to the scenic area.

Visitors usually stay for one or two nights on the mountain to better see the scenery and the sunrise. The Shilin Hotel and Xihai Hotel are highly recommended.
