About:Chinese Embassy in Sri Lanka

Does a Sri Lankan passport holder need a sponsor letter to get a visit visa to Hong Kong and Macao?

Is it mandatory? In my case I don't have any one in Hong Kong, I just wanted to visit there my self, but the Embassy refused my application without the sponsor letter?
Any one got the same experience?
Thanks.
Malani

Do you provide your hotel bookings and bank statement in HK?

Based on my information, the sponor's letter is not mandatory, but it is not always certain. The policy is always changeable.
