About:China Visa Application in USA

How long are visas valid after they are issued?

My husband and I have purchased a trip to China departing in early June, 2015. We are scheduled to teach in a college in Southern Africa from March until the 3rd week in May. Can we secure a permit for China in February before leaving to teach and it still be valid for a 2 week trip inside China beginning in June??

The validity is usually has three months and it is suggested to apply around one month in advance before your departure.

It is a little bit early to apply in Feb. For my opinion, you are suggested to call the Chinese embassy in South Africa and ask whether they will issue you a Tourist L for your situation. You also need to contact the CVASC in UK to ask whether they can mail your Tourist L to South Africa. After consulting, you may have a general idea about how to get the L in a suitable way.
