Application from Hong Kong to Guangzhou

Hi, I am a Malaysian passport holder working in Hong Kong (temporary 1 year HK work visa).

Is it possible for me to visit Guangzhou for few days without a permit? if I need to, how do i obtain it in Hong Kong?

It is impossible to do that. You still need to apply a single entry Tourist L to visit Guangzhou. For your situation, you may need to apply through a local tour agency with your valid passport, an application form with a recent taken photo, hotel bookings in Guanzhou, round trip tickets, your proof of legal status in HK.
