About:Visa Policy of China

Visit Shenzhen from HK, does the Chinese visa is required?

Hi
I'm American and planning to take the MTR train to Shenzhen from hongkong. Do I need a permit or can I get a VOA? How much is it? Also is there a free 72 hour permit I can get?

The VOA is not available for USA people. If you want to visit Shenzhen, you need to apply for a single entry Tourist L for visiting. The 72-hour free transit is not available for you, because this policy is only available for those making international air travel transfer passengers.
