About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Im a us citizen and travelling to the philippines with 15 hrs. lay over in Beijing China.

Will I be able to explore the city and will be needing a visa for it? And my wife who is travelling with me is Filipino citizen, will she also be able to get out of the airport and see the sights? Will she also need it for it and where can we apply for one if ever.....

Since you only stay for 15 hours, both of you do not need a Transit G to leave the airport and see around. Both of you just need to apply for a stay permit to leave the airport for sightseeing.
