UK residents travelling in New zealand prior to going to China

Hi,
Me and my partner will be in New Zealand for a month prior to going on to China. We are travelling for 6 months before this and therefore will need to get Chinese visas whilst in New Zealand. Could you advise us as to how to obtain Chinese visas as tourists in New Zealand that will be travelling around the country.

Many thanks.

You need to apply at the local Chinese embassy in Wellington directly with your valid passport, an application form, a recent taken photo, your proof of legal status in New Zealand, your round trip tickets to China and hotel bookings in China.
