Fred Extending my L visa issued in Hong Kong

Hi, I have an Australian passport and have been issued with a one month L to China. I entered China on 22nd October. My first question is if I have to register at the local police station if I entered with a tourist L. I am staying with a friend in Kaifeng, Henan province. My second question is if it is possible to extend my L at a local Exit-Entry Administration Bureau for a further month. Your advice would be much appreciated. Thank you. Fred

If you stay for more than 24 hours, the register is needed. Remember to ask your friend to go with you.

It is possible to extend it, but it is not assured that your application can be accepted. The Bureau has the final right to decide whether to give you that.
