Traveling to China on a Taiwanese (ROC) Passport

Hello,

I have a Taiwanese passport and I will be going to Guangzhou via Hong Kong. According to Wikipedia, I can apply for a visa on arrival? Is that true? How long is the VOA issued for?

Please let me know what that process is and documents, photos and etc are needed.

Thanks so much!

Charlie

It is available in some airports. Do you have a Permit for Taiwan Residents to and from Mainland China and which airport you will use?

If time is possible, it is suggested to apply for a register in advance before entering mainland.

Hi Miller,

Thank you for your reply. No I don't have the special Taiwanese / Chinese Permit. Can I still get an VOA without it?

Where do I go to register? Can you please direct me to the link?

Thanks so much

The VOA may not be possible if you do not have a VOA and you can contact the embassy/consulate for confirming. You need to go to the local Chinese embassy for registering.
