Can a U.S. citizen apply for a tourist visa to China from Jakarta?

Hi,
I am an American citizen and I will be traveling in Indonesia and planning to visit China (and other places in Asia) afterwards. Is it possible for me to apply for a multi-entry L type at the Chinese embassy in Jakarta?

Thank you.

John, you have higher chance of applying for the multiple L type in the US rather than Jakarta. If you applied in Jakarta, you would have been granted with a single entry one. My opinion is for your reference only.

A single entry Tourist L may be easy to get, but for the multiple entry one, it is hard to tell. You can try to apply, but it is not assured that you can get it in the end. You can contact the local Chinese embassy for consulting more.
