About:Chinese Consulates in Thailand

on a cruise ship that calls at Shanghai & Hong Kong in mid March.

Hello. I am a UK citizen.

I will be in Thailand from early January and then embarking. Can I get a Chinese visa whist I am in Thailand? If so where in Thailand can I get one? How long will it take? If it is an embassy or consulate, do I need to go there in person? I will be staying in southern Thailand near Hua Hin.

Thank You
Craig

You can try to apply a Tourist L in Thailand through the local embassy. Usually, the processing days are around 4 working days.
If you just travel to Thailand, you are suggested to apply in person at the local embassy/consulate. If you live in Thailand, you can apply through a local tour agency.
