About:China Customs Declaration

Can I take a soil pH test kit into China via air travel luggage? Will it need to be declared?

The pH test kit contains 2 100ml (approx.) containers and a colour chart. 1 container is filled with a liquid pH indicator and the other a white barium sulphate powder.

Trevor, I think you can bring them. However, you should put them in a plastic bag to ensure that they won't leak if you bring them in your carry-on luggage. The safer way is to put them in your checked luggage.
