I have been told starting 2015 there will be a fast train between Wuzhou and Guangzhou. Can you confirm this? And when would tickets be available for this connection?

There is no offical statement of the opening date. But it would be around the end of 2014 or early 2015. The ticket in China can be brought only 20 days within the departure date. Thus you can search for it at the end of 2014.
