Visa for new infant

I am working in China on a Work Z. I will return home to the USA to have my baby and then want to return to China is quickly as possible. For an S1, do I need to wait for a formal invitation from my employer (the baby is due right before Chinese New Year, so getting a letter could be complicated.) or can I write the letter inviting my new child?

Meg, an invitation letter from you is enough.
