How to get to the top of Mt. Emei to see the Golden Summit?

I'm going to Chengdu for about 4 days starting on a Saturday. I would like to go to Leshan on Saturday to see the big Buddha and then go to the top for the Golden Summit. The question is, since I am not an experienced hiker, how do I get to the top of the mountain? I don't mind hiking but it would be nice to know it won't be too hard for someone with little experience. Also, are there any recommendations on where to stay if I want to see the sunrise at the top?

Thanks!

To be honest, two days are usually needed to hike onto the Golden Summit. If it is ok with you, there are clear signs and directions in the mountain, which are marked both in Chinese and English. Or try to ask for a map at the ticket office at the foot of the mount.

If you wanna save time, after arriving at Baoguosi Bus Station at the foot of the mountain from Leshan Big Buddha, you can transfer to another bus to Leidongping first. There you can take the cable car onto the summit or spend 2-3 hours hiking to reach.
