Jilliann, in fact he didn't write that book. After he got back to Venice from China, he joined the war between Venice and Genoa. Unfortunately, he was captured and imprisoned. Marco Polo met Rusticello, another writer in the prison. He orally told Rusticello what he experienced in China and then Rusticello wrote it down.
